Targeting - Explanation

The Chestplate of the fortress, as well as Ghost of the Spire, apply a large negative weighting to the flank weight. Multiple Chestplates will thus stack and reduce the flank weight even further, in the event there is a hero who flanks naturally and also has gear equipped to increase the chance to flank.

The value on GotS is significantly larger than on the Chestplate, enough to effectively counteract all chance to Flank.

We haven't made a decision on the multiplier improvement on Taunt yet...

Any news abt target mechanics? Could u pls give us the number of weight "Arms of Champion" and clarify abt kitty targeting. In card it says "more likely to attack the enemy with lowest % health" on deal its seems that they more likely to attack the enemy with lowest health point.

So Kitty's targeting is the "Wounded Targeting" which was explained above.

Arms of the Champion has a basic Quick Targeting mechanic applied. Each of the basic targeting mechanics applies a weight of 5000 for their specific type, and these are:

* Wounded Targeting - more likely to attack the enemy with lowest % health
* Quick Targeting - more likely to attack the quickest enemy
* Slow Targeting - more likely to attack the slowest enemy
* Brave Targeting - more likely to attack the most powerful enemy

There are other forms of targeting called "Hatred" which are used for being applied to specific enemy groups, such as Arlathan General who applies a Hatred of Tevinter, causing allies to be more likely to attack Tevinter. These range from 2000 - 5000 in weight.

Its 1000% something is wrong with targeting, for example how kitty could hit GoTS in BR with dalish banner in BR and chestplate in my team? The Chestplate of the Fortress, as well as GoTS, only reduces the chance to flank. A hero that does not naturally have flank and does not have any flanking gear will be unaffected by it.

Kitty has a targeting mechanic to go after a hero with the lowest % health, meaning that hero can be in the back row. The Chestplate of the Fortress and GoTS do not affect this because it's not a flank mechanic.

Therefore, if GoTS has the lowest % health, even in the back row, there's a good chance it would be hit. With the heavy taunt of Dalish Banner, this would basically equal the targeting provided based on GoTS being lowest % health, meaning Kitty would then have about a 50/50 chance of hitting either of them. If your Kitty is equipped with Arms of the Champion, that further adds to the targeting, but since both GoTS and Dalish Banner are Quick, it would be equally applied. Sounds like things are working just fine.

Question: Why kitties attack all the time this target?

another question kitties and envy demon has same wounded taget mechanic? if so, why its confusing with different discription?

We could certainly update the code to break out and ignore the targeting if all enemies are equal

I for one would certainly welcome this, kittys for a 1* cause a disproportionate problem in PG. Maybe the delayed bonus damage stacking squad aura fix will alleviate this. However that fix is MIA after this didn't make the recent major client update as promised.

We r talking abt target mechanic, not abt bonus damage I believe there is some misunderstanding but its another topic.

Just saying that the proposed targeting change would help along with the other fix that would impact kitty's both issues making them more deadly than perhaps originally intended

if all enemies have 100% health it still sorts them in ascending order and still targets the first enemy in the list.

It will be nice, even to rcv any info abt what exactly kind of ascending order it's: by name, by place, by total HP? As for me, there is some logic, cause they hitting to often in same place.
