For myself i specifically would like to know if there are any other caps

such as a power drain resistance cap? (i tried to re-size this pic in "edit" of my post. .but it just never seems to make it smaller.. i duno)

Hello Storklord - drain question for you. I'm running 3x Tammassran, Saarath and Ariqun. Total damage for Tammassrans (rogue power boosted event) is about 120K - some forted, some not. They also have the -20% power drain resistance debuff. I'm testing against a team with no drain resistance.

Is their 'small' power drain 25% - I'm seeing much closer to 10%?

Small elsewhere is usually 25% - I'd be very grateful if we could get confirmation whether that should be the case here or not - although it would be even better to get real % in place of all the small, medium etc words on the cards.

I'd post pics but tinypic apparently hates me.

      Edit: here are the pics...

PBA should crit for 54K, so he is getting drained, but only for around 10K, not the 30K or so if small= 25%.

He's also getting 20% damage from faction so his actual critical is 25k so he was drained to 12.5kish power

Thanks Joshua - but isnt the faction damage the +8603 underneath the 34k? I always thought this was extra not a component of the 34k?

Ok. I don't know if something is just off or I'm just not understanding something. I've been using Tamassran in my Qun squad. And either she is not draining or I'm misunderstanding her. She attacks, drains small from all enemies. She also has a -20% to drain resist to opponents. So she should drain at least 25% of her power (ignoring the extra from the negative aura) Her power is sitting at 56k this event. So that should be a 14000 drain. Meaning anyone with 14000 or less should pretty much be useless. But I've had to many battles where the opponent is around that or less but still hitting at the same as what the prebattle screen says their power is.

Just had a match against 4 stache and DTeo. All of the stache had about 11k power. My Tam kills the dragon, drains everyone, they power up due to teammate death. The drain animation is still on, but the first stache hits for about 7k to the team because IB absorbed the rest. IB dead by second turn, team goes down by the 4th including a 111k health Arv who had healed a couple times before IB went down. Just ran into the same team and decided to test it again. 1st stache crit for 16k and IB got hit for 66k after being drained. While writing I am testing. Had a match against 3 SD. Around 11k attack. Tam drains, 2 of them crit. 9k damage to Tam while IB absorbed 22k. So in this case she only drained a few thousand.

So my question is, is Tam not working properly or am I misunderstanding her drain? Even if her small drain is just 5% that's about 2800 but then you add in the 20% it would still drain more but most of the time it only looks like she is draining about 1-2k. I've purposely gone after teams that don't have drain resist.
            It's only a game..........right?

In my understading she only drain 5% and 20% is only decreasing resisting aura. So if your enemy has 25% resisting aura she drain nothing.

I don't think negative auras increase the amount of power being drained. The bottom cap of a resistance should technically be 0, so a negative aura wouldn't dramatically increase the amount drained (if at all)

I think the negativ aura is only minus 20% to the enemys resistance to drain power. So if he would have 25% drain resist. He has only has 20% Resist.

What i dont know is if that resist means, a chance to resist drain completly. Or if it is always a 20% less drain.

Small could be anywhere between 10-25% usually. With a hero like Tamassran that drains Power from the entire enemy party, that percentage would be on the lower end since it would potentially be multiplied by 5.

Ok. So 10%, but that still is more drain than I've seen a few opponents get. 10% = 5600. But some were getting drained by 2-3k. They really need to shift to numbers instead of small and medium.

And for negative aura, I thought they said that drain resistance can drop below zero. Since normal drain is usually 50% of the attackers power, a negative 50% would essentially make it 100% of attackers power. I believe this was a post when negative auras were introduced. I vaguely remember a debate on stun resistance shouldn't go below 0 since it will make 100% stun chances, so the capped it at 0. But they allowed drain to go negative. Don't remember the outcome for slow.

                            Storklord,
I checked the document, but I couldn't find any cap for lower enemy power auras. What is the cap?

I was thinking of building an anti mage team that lowers mages power by a significant amount.

"Curse Power resets any enemy Power gains and prevents further Power gains for a turn."
-- needs clarification whose "turn" that is since we have at least 2 actors here - the curser and the cursee (is that even a word?); imho a better description would be "prevents power gain until curse is lifted, which happens after the cursed toon makes its turn"

I'm curious about this as well. I always assumed a Turn is the same as 1 round, but I don't think that's the case. I've been noticing my Advisor Morrigan will curse power at normal speed, and it works for 'one turn' then after my slow round heroes go, the other team gains power before the next round. If this is the case it sort of makes the power curse less desirable.

                                3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

                                5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

                                6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.
