Thanks Lyesh and Heal/Harm!
I get that part of my frustration is the 'culture shock' I am experiencing. What you call "farming fest" is the result of 2 years worth of power creep that I (and any new player for that matter) didn't keep up with, while you and other regular players did. So of course this event is easy at Insane and requires some thought, but is still relatively easy with the right team and/or runes at Ludicrous. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that my 2 year old legs cannot just walk into Insane and complete it, but I would have expected that with the added difficulty would be a commensurate better drop rate. I can clearly do Wicked Eyes at Insane, using my best toons and some runes, and now and then a potion. What I don't want to do is go through all that effort for 6 rares, an epic and about a third of a leg on average. And I'm not even attempting Ludicrous, because I know how futile that would be.

So please don't condescend from a, shall we call it meta-capable, position, or tell people to just get over the difficulty. People without a meta-capable roster are legitimately going to have some frustration with this event, more so given the shiny prizes on offer and poor-ish drop rate if attempting anything lower than Ludicrous difficulty.

I'm a F2P player who's been playing since the start, but didn't play for the past 2 years until a month ago, so I missed most of the opportunities to get any of the current meta toons. I get your frustration and I've felt the the same during this event, but I think its only fair to appeal to the hardcore players and give them something other than the grind which comprises the rest of the game. Sometimes it takes a lot of time and effort to be able to match it with the best and this event clearly highlights that.

Personally I can't vouch for the drop rates on Wicked Hearts because I've only done a handful of runs but it seems low reading through this thread. Of course that's disappointing given the difficulty but again I think that's just the nature of this event - it's supposed to be a challenge - but that doesn't necessarily mean the rewards will be greater.

The great thing about this event is that for those of us who can't manage the difficulty, Wicked Eyes is a comparably easier option (with decent drop rates imo), plus there's also Seeker's Duty available too. I've also used this week to do Gauntlet runs and pick up a bunch of the LC dragons I was missing through the Giants Quest.

While I agree harder quests should have better drop rates, I think the reward for being harder on this one is the good toons you can get. RJS and DM are amazing toons, one of which hasn't been featured in a nexus event before, and would be very hard to get otherwise. Given that, I can understand the difficulty.

Also, please don't assume. By no means am I a regular player, I took a break for almost 2 years when I lost my account to a bug and recently came back after reclaiming it (thanks customer service) and have been playing for a few months. I don't really but gems unless I have excess gift cards or money lying around and I don't tryhard in pvp, only just wait for energy refills and do nexus events.

Even while not playing for almost two years i was able to come back and do some new nexuses using my old squad (they sucked so I could only do like very hard/ maybe insane) and get a few worthwhile drops that I leveled up into what I have now. Not to mention, any old player that has recently come back should have at least one alistar, if not multiple, and a squad of 4 alistar + any lc can quite easily beat any event on insane and sometimes ludicrous.

Overall I feel like yeah sure the drop rates can suck sometimes (did 30+ runs on Western approach with no 3 star or notable 2 star) it's worth it for the toons available that can provide a huge power boost to your squad and let them contest future nexuses.

You should've seen me trying to do civil war with my OG 2X Byron, 1x seeker cas, 1x KCC and 1x legendary spirit tree thingy. It didn't work of course, but over time I got better toons from nexus and other events and can quite easily do the event with no runes at all.

It is important that members recognize the real-time nature of this forum: the moderators cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages, and as such depend upon you to inform them when participants or their messages are violating our policy as stated here. You must also recognize that they cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any warranted action is taken.

What happens if I break the rules?
At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Sr Moderator a message asking for a reason.

Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.

              Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

              1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.
Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

              2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

              3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

              4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

              5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

              6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

              7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.

In addition to the Forum Rules, you are bound to the general EA Terms of Service both on these forums and in the game. Links to the TOS are as follows:
