The rewards at the lower end were abysmal last time, yet they have been slashed even more. The promise that this one would be better is the only reason I didn't quit after the previous onslaught.

To quantify it for people, my guild got 25 gems in the last onslaught. A drop from 50 gems. At the same level, we'll be looking at 15 gems from these 'improved' rewards. If we boost up a bit we might get 30, which will still be a large drop from what we'd gotten before.

As far as I can see, only those in guilds at #75 and up got any increase.

Zorg they are trying to make incentive for guilds to have more then 2 people (I call these partner guilds)using system as gem farm. They want people to compete. Also rewards might look good at the top but no one finishes in the top with more gems then they started with. That sweet spot is like 30-50 that actually profit gem wise!

Speaking of 10 round battles....the 3rd one in is a passive drain festival lol

I've been having a lot of fun victimizing some unsuspecting 3* white faction teams with Xenon and his blighted hoardes. The Darkness is growing from within the shadow of Xenon's massive chair!

Dorian has my number though...click for a snoozefest. :-D

Dildoith My guild has more than 2 people. I have no intention of pushing through a bunch of refreshes. Nor do I intend to have a guild that requires refreshes. Also, it totally flies in the face of what was said during the previous onslaught.

From what I can tell, that is probably true that the bigger increase is in the upper levels and some lower levels may even see a few less. It's my understanding this was based on research into the banners/effort needed to attain a given level, and is designed to be more of a "break even" at all levels. PG, on the other hand, is designed to be more profitable by its design, but GW is more expected to be more gem neutral if everyone performs about the same level in a given team. Thus far, it looks more break even to me as well just based on spending and where I think my five teams will need to place to get to certain levels. I do agree with Dildoith that this is all intended to increase desire to compete, and I believe this could also cause some consolidation of smaller guilds into larger ones. Being a leader of a "larger" guild, I'm fine with that, but I can understand where it may not appeal as well to all and may make it a little tougher for a small guild to get going. If it would help any, feel free to PM me and I can offer some practical info on how to help you build your guild a little.

Thank you, but I have no intention of building the guild. At this point, I won't be playing another onslaught.

If your guild is placing under rank 500, then you aren't refreshing and therefore aren't actually competing. Or else you are a very small (one-two man) guild that isn't really a "guild" in the sense of a bunch of players who band together with common interests and goals.

We are not rewarding for not competing. And we want you to actually form guilds, and not just one- or two-man partnerships. The values were determined based on effort required to achieve each rank tier. If you want to see the lowest tier increase, then you will need to compete more heavily to justify the increased rewards.

In other words: What you put into the system is indicative of what you will get out of it.

These are not intended to be free handouts. You have to work for it. That may mean joining a larger guild or stepping up your recruitment efforts in order to grow your guild to rank higher. Or it may mean you'll have to push a little more than you typically would in order to rank higher. But if your intent is to play the event the same way you would any other PVP event, then it's not really a guild war for you, and you will not receive the same rewards as those who are putting more effort into it.

If you're running solo and getting yourself well over the minimum individual requirement, or up a few thousand banners, you may want to consider adding your strength to another guild, because then you'll be able to reach the higher rewards without any real extra effort on your part from what you are doing now.

A guild of one is not a guild.

It's not yet a guild of one, I'll let those currently playing finish out the onslaught. After that, it'll be a guild of none. Good thing I stopped spending money at the last onslaught.

Oddly enough, I will be happy to have more time for other things. So maybe we'll "all be pleased" after all.

At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Sr Moderator a message asking for a reason.

Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.

                              Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

                              1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.
Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

                              2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

                              3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

                              4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                              5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

                              6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                              7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.

In addition to the Forum Rules, you are bound to the general EA Terms of Service both on these forums and in the game. Links to the TOS are as follows:
