    Cole is one of the most intriguing characters in the Dragon Age Universe, he is very complex, and is not strange that he continues to be a bit complex in the HODA world.

    First the numbers:

    Cole: attacks up to 10 times inflicting status effects as stun, slow, drain and curse.

    Power: 8116, aura included = 10,550
    Health: 19949, aura included = 25,934

    Spirit of Cole:

    Flanker, drain power on hit, 25% chance to stun, small chance to assassinate. Stealth

    Power: 10,840 aura included: 14,092
    Health: 27,047


    Ghost of the Spire
    Attacks up to 3 times gaining power each attack ( about 35% between hits) and 75% more damage to mages. Stealth

    Power: 13795 with auras: 18,623
    Health: 22020 with auras 29727



    Runes:

    Cole seems to work best with speed and power runes since he has a lot of firepower. ( lacks stealth though)

    Spirit of Cole could go either speed and power or dual health, since he gains power on enemy hit and a tad bigger survival rate due to damage reduction, so a second round attack could be devastating.

    Ghost of the Spire: very versatile mage killer, either speed and power or dual health, has the advantage of giving power gain mechanic to allies so he is very valued in either setup.


    Gear:

    There is no gear guide, so want to share a few suggestions:

    First the logic:

    Want the toon for speed and power: Power, bonus damage, targeting ( on all rune setups) and 2x damage gear.
    Want the toon for dual health setups: Health, damage reduction and healing gear
    Want both rune setups: power and healing gear should be the best in this case

    Speed and power suggestions: Ardent Blossom, Sacrificial Dagger, Mage Killer, Tome of Rifts, Walking death, Elgar' nan Enaste, Savage thorn, Spear Thrower, rebound dagger
    Dual Health suggestions: Sacrificial Dagger, Cole's Hat, Tome of Rifts, Dawn Ring, Gurn Hide, defender coat

    Versatile suggestions: Sacrificial dagger, Walking death, Ardent Blossom, Mage killer



    Suggested setups:

    Cole, Spirit of Cole, Ghost of the Spire
    Spirit champion, Spirit of Faith, Ghost of the spire, Spirit of Cole or just Cole.
    Combine inquisition/Elves with either Cole or Spirit of Cole: SoC, Apostate Solas, Solas, The last inquisitor.
    Inquisition Quicks, Red Jenny Sera, Cole/Spirit of Cole, Artificer Varric, Varric/Viscount Varric
    Any combinations with Evangeline de Brassard


    All in all, Cole is always versatile and deadly, deep and nostalgic, a very complex character in the HODA Universe.



    Cole Grade 8.5/10 Versatility vs weakness lack of consistency on hits.
    SoC grade 8/10 Good power gain mechanic and damage reduction but lack of power on a quick round setup.
    GoTS: grade 9.5/10 Great power, power vs mages, power gain for allies, little drawback on hits inconsistency but power gain between hits compensate.

    Cole to being able to 10 punches is very useful since he is able to defeat the solo to 2 toons if he attacks the max but without stealth is a little dangerous since he can activate the effects of the enemy I would like to give him secrecy

    Gost is quite effective already has 75% of damage against magicians besides gives 5% of power to the allies and avoids flirting allies also has the sigil only if he gave his bonus to the picaros would fit perfectly

    Soc does not seem effective to me and although it has stealth power it only gains the addition of q the bonus is given for the blue faction when it should be for both red and blue factions so it would be more effective to use it and the murder rate is very low So I have not seen it in almost any squadron since it is easy to defeat

    Soc : 5/10
    Gost : 9/10

      Almost never use cole because that multi hit sometimes screws u over

      Definitely lean more towards inquisition quicks as I feel champion does better when he can tank stuff out with some sof heal

          Lol yes! It always works against me.
          But I guess I'll only use if the guild war event is quick spirits. Else I usually put a wisp in defense.

            I love Cole. All of them. The math is wrong though. Even though the description doesn't say so, Cole and Spirit of Cole's auras stack. So they are getting a 60% aura.

            Spirit of Cole is a good flanker. He has double effects with the drain and chance to stun. And stealth is always good. And even though assassinate has such a small chance, it is an added bonus.

            Cole is a wild card. His biggest downside is that he does not have stealth. It's always fun seeing how many times he will hit and what status effects he will inflict. His bonus to crit and increasing with hit make him even deadlier. The extra 10% applies to the team giving everyone a higher crit rate. Throw on some gear to bring it higher and he will crit most of his hits if not all, effectively doubling his damage. On top of that, add in stun immunity for an entire group. I tiered up a second one and together they almost always crit.

            We all know how good and effective Ghost of the Spire is, so I won't go into detail there.

              What about the art?...

              SoC = Best looking Cole.
              (but seriously i am using him in the current Sacred Ashes of the Urn event..and he just smashes backrow cultists).

              And Cole in current PVP event is stealth... just like old times~!

              Otherwise awesome review DUMAT~!

                    thats not just on cole tho. no matter what you fight there always seems to be some kind of home field advantage to the defending squad thats making any minimal statistical RNG chance of losing he fight a virtual guarantee ;P

                          Before commenting I put both of them all alone and went into a nexus that would not effect their stats. Both showed a 60% increase. The only reason I caught it was when I tiered up my second Cole. I would occasionally run with Evangeline, each Cole and DMal. I switched the team up to 2 Cole and Spirit of Cole with GoM and noticed Evangeline's attack went from 90k to over 100k. I hope they don't change it. Their auras stacking makes them better but not game breaking.

                            Unless expressly endorsed by EA Capital Games, publicizing any correspondence of a private nature such as support tickets, email, Private Messages (PM) or chat logs thereof by any medium is NOT permitted.

                            Discussing or posting of another players spending habits will be deleted.


                            Spamming
                            Obvious spam (repetitive nonsense posts) will result in the poster permanently banned and all posts deleted.


                            Porn
                            Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene is not permitted on these forums.

                            Topics/posts containing such will be deleted on sight. Forum poster will be permanently banned from the forums.


                            Warez
                            Providing or asking for information regarding the illegal downloading of "warez", "gamez" or any other software protected by copyright.


                            Future Events/Promotions
                            Any posts or threads revealing future events or promotions that were not disclosed by the Capital Games team will be deleted.


                            Cross-posting
                            Posting the same question in more than one forum is not allowed. Should this occur, then only the thread in the most relevant forum will be left open; all others will be locked/closed and subsequently deleted.


                            Cheating
                            The use of any exploits or known bugs or editing of files in order to gain an unfair advantage while playing, will result in a permanent game and forum ban.

                            Accusing another player of cheating will result in your post/thread being deleted and a message sent to you, stating to refrain from further accusations. If continued accusations occur, a forum ban will result. If you believe a player to be cheating, send a PM to the Community Manager with as much detail as possible.

                            Please privately contact the Community Manager in order to submit an inquiry regarding this behavior.


                            Off-Topic Posting
                            Taking over a thread by posting excessively off-topic is not allowed. Off-Topic posts and any responses will be moved to their own, new thread if possible, or else deleted.


                            Political Posting
                            Because political beliefs, like religion, are a personal and sensitive topic, avoid posting about politics on the forums.


                            Customer Support Inquiries
                            All inquiries regarding Customer Support should be routed through the online web portal for support. The Community Manager and Moderators are unable to assist with inquiries regarding support tickets. Posting your ticket number and requesting assistance on the forums will result in the post being deleted. Sending a Private Message to the Community Manager or Moderators about CSR Inquiries is not to be tolerated, and will be ignored.

                            Additionally, all interactions with Customer Support are considered confidential, and all issues are handled on a case-by-case basis. As such, posts containing transcripts or results of your interactions with Customer Support will be edited or deleted.


                            Violation of these terms is grounds for removal from EA Capital Games games and a report to Facebook.


                            What should I do if I see objectionable material on the forums?
                            It is important that members recognize the real-time nature of this forum: the moderators cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages, and as such depend upon you to inform them when participants or their messages are violating our policy as stated here. You must also recognize that they cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any warranted action is taken.

                            What happens if I break the rules?
                            At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Sr Moderator a message asking for a reason.
