  • Inventory space & stamina points questions

I would like to ask a question that is worrying me a little, epic toons will be improved in the future and they could be useful again, we will not have enough space in our inventory to have so many toons with all the new toon releasings and the epic heroes.
There will be any possible solution?
You said you did the last inventory enlargement and I am a little upset that I couldn't get new toons or get the revamped epics because of the lack of space.
I wouldn't want to consume my leg toons or use them as a fort, it took me 4 years to get dupes of them and I have good toons well tiered and forted and I wouldn't like paying gems to get them back or fort and gear them again if I need to use them and they will also lose their level if I unfort a heroe to get them.

Is there any possibility to increase the recharge duration of the stamina points?
It would be nice if stamina points take longer to recharge as the energy points, in that way you will not lose stamina points when you are sleeping or working.

Unfortunately you will have to choose which heroes you wish to keep and which you want to sacrifice. We are not planning to increase the roster space again. We have considered a few alternatives, however they have all boiled down to being a similar problem as simply increasing the roster capacity, requiring a major redesign and rework of the base architecture of how heroes are assigned to players and brought into the game. It is a limitation of the architecture.

No, we will not be increasing the recharge duration of stamina points. It already takes 21 minutes per point. To increase this would severely disadvantage players who are regularly returning to the game to spend their stamina points. It is each players' choice in how often they return to the game to spend their stamina. We have set the recharge rate, it is up to the player to decide how they will then play the game based on those parameters in order to maximize their time.

Thanks a lot for your explanation Lyeshal and for answering my questions.

That's makes sense. But what about maybe increasing stamina points with leveling? Nothing crazy like an energy point every level. However, something like +1 stamina point every 50 levels or even every 100 levels? A little more incentive for people to reach for those levels!

Because stamina is used for PVP, we want every player to be on equal footing when it comes to the number of gems it takes for X number of fights if you are refilling. It would be a pretty major rework of the refill process to alter this to be dynamic based on your current stamina - it's basically 2 points per gem right now. If we were to increase the amount of available stamina for higher level players, we would also then need to make sure this ratio stays intact, so that even if you've built up to 16 stamina, you're still going to get charged 8 gems to refill that.

While I agree this is appealing and desirable, unfortunately the amount of effort required to make this happen just isn't something we can really support right now.

I have thought about these problems. One way is to fortify/unfortify which would allow thousands of toons. Personally I would like it if there was toons where you can fort/unfort for free to allow this. However I think there might be server overload issues with this.

You already can choose to fortify things away for safekeeping, the problem with that is this will destroy any fortifications and gear that hero already has, and when you retrieve it, it would be level 1 again. Changing the fort system to save all that information is no different, performance and space-wise, than just keeping those heroes in the roster in the first place.

...that's what I was thinking. Perhaps unforting could be free on epic and lower. Easier to rebuild toons for special events whilst maintaining heavily fortified legendary/mythic toons

We may be able to look into this. I can't say for sure what kind of rework of the system that would require but my gut says it wouldn't be too bad. We'd likely have to make UI tweaks though because we do display the costs to unfortify, so it would certainly have to fall into a client update, which means we wouldn't see this happen for quite some time at this point. I can definitely add it to the "investigate" list, though.

The question then becomes, though, is this something folks would actually use as an inventory management method? From what I've gathered so far, the main concern for players is wanting to be able to basically archive, or bench, the heroes they aren't currently using, but have previously built up with fortifications and gear, and be able to then return those to active duty from time to time, without having to rebuild them. Fortifying them away in such a manner means that when they retrieve them, they'd have to totally rebuild them again.

I think players would use it to store dupes and others that they aren't currently using. I have a number of legs that I might never get around to tiering and gearing, but I don't want to consume or fort them because there may come a time that I want to use them. The ability to fort/unfort them for free on epics would certainly clear up some inventory space, although it's not a pressing issue for me at the moment in any case.

you mentioned how big of a change the game need to have in order to fix the inventory problem. Is there any chance in the FAR future will such a major overhaul happen? Major client update perhaps. This is similar with the problem with Unity I think. Will it still be possible one day or never gonna happen?

I imagine it would take massive influx of revenue...say around the time DA4 drops? Please!!?!?!?

It would be a great idea if there is any way of not losing your gear and forts, serum of ambition is difficult to get for your epics and takes time to tier up and fort your squad even if they are epics and lower.

I agree, with DA 4 we will have new toons and we will have a big problem with the inventory space.
Moreover, we should add all the epic revamps, it will be difficult to keep so many heroes with the current space.
I hope you would find a good solution.

I just hope the game still survive by the time DA4 is out lol. I would hate it if CG make a separate HODA game for DA4 like some other mobile game

                              1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.

                              2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

                              3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

                              4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                              5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

                              6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                              7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation.
