    Hi to All!,

    My gear suggestions:

    a) Mythic gear to -1 initiative, applicable to Normal round heroes.

    b) Mythic gear to +1 initiative, applicable to Slow round heroes. (would help those older ***, AC, TEO etc)

    Cheers,
    CB

Teyrn Loghain's Crown(Mythic). This crown was fashioned for Loghain following the events of Ostagar.
Limitations: Loghain Mac Tir, Queen Anora
Traits: +5% damage resistance, +10% damage vs. Orlesians, Theirin and Guerrin families. Loghain equip: +10% health and power. Queen Anora equip: +25%(or 75%) health and power.

Slim Couldry, if possible, negates this item when equipped on enemies.

Silver Bar(Epic). This is one of the silver bars that was hoarded by Arl Rendon Howe following his betrayal of the Cousland family in order to gain their lands and support Loghain's bid for power.
      Limitations: Ferelden, Howe family
Traits: +5% damage vs. Cousland family for allies, +8% power for Howe family allies.

Slim Couldry can yet again negate this item. Useful in the event Cousland heroes are added.

The Summer Sword(Legendary). Vercenne of Halamshiral labored for several months, folding steel, honing the edge to perfection. The resulting blade was as long as a man is tall, and sharp as the tongue of any noblewoman.
      Limitations: Warriors.
Traits: +5% damage, +7% crit chance, -5% slow and stun resistance to enemies. Ser Cauthrien equip: +1000% health and power.

Golem Control Rod(Mythic). A faceted cylinder of solid crystal, deep blue in color and cool to the touch. Limitations: All heroes. Traits: +7% health and power, +2% crit chance and +2% damage resistance for Golems. Paragons Caridin and Branka equip: -50% stun resistance for enemy Golems. Golem equip: When hit converts 3% of damage into health, extra 3% for defenders and quick round.

Hoping Kal'Hirol and Amgarrak golems get added eventually. If Golem Master from Awakening is added he can get the 50% debuff for enemy golems too. Golems can eat up slots building dr, healing and critical chance or a mixture of all three. It also gives Sentinel Shadow/Varterral epic squads another option for a second gear item to go with Serum of Ambition.

June's Knot: An insoluble wooden puzzle box used by the Dalish to train their minds. Limitations: Elves. Traits: +3% health. +1% crit chance and damage resistance and +2% damage vs. creatures for Elven allies.

Toy Aravel: A carved wooden toy aravel with the mark of June and pulled by Ghilan'nain's children, the halla. Limitations: Elves, halla. Traits: +5% curse health resist, +4% slow resist and +2% health to allies(double for halla).

Vallaslin(Elven deity, Forgotten Ones no Fen'Harel): Vallaslin, or blood writing is the passage into adulthood amongst the Dalish by way of intricate tattoos representing one of their deities. Limitations: Elves. Traits: Varies depending on deity.

Casteless Brand/Legionnaire Skull: Dwarven tattoos are largely limited to the casteless and legion of the dead. Limitations: Dwarves. Traits: Varies.

Tome of Koslun: This tome is a sacred scripture written by the founder of the Qun, Ashkaari Koslun. Limitations: Isabela, Arishok, Black Divine and Imperial Templar. Traits: +5% health, power and damage resistance for Qunari allies. Arishok: Extra 5% health, power and damage resistance for self. Isabela: +10% bonus damage vs. Qunari for allies. Divines/Imperial Templar: -5% health, power and slow, stun, power drain and curse resist vs. Qunari.

Masterwork Harness: A masterfully crafted harness for beasts of burden. Limitations: Bronto, dracolisks, goats, halla, horses and nuggalope. Traits: +6% health and power, +8% power drain resist. -10% slow resist.
Last edited by Uraeus; 01-25-2018, 10:07 AM. Reason: Added all divines to tome. Increased slow penalty on harness.

              Legendary gear item
portrait image: looks like a lantern
Concept: improved forge hammer - with improved resistance to stealth attackers
Stats: 4% power self, -3% power to enemies, 8% DR to allies vs stealth attackers, much less likely to be targeted by stealth attackers
Restrictions: normal sized heroes - like existing arms of the champion gear item

i was going to start a new thread but then stumbled across this one. I see Certainty is newly released after being a suggestion a while back. nice!

I would like to see a whole set of blood dragon armor, as it's arguably the best and most highly sought after armor in origins.

I'll leave the details up to CG, so i'll be rough in my description.

Current Blood Dragon Greaves: Change to greaves or warrior greaves or something else. It's lackluster for the Blood Dragon Namesake.

full set: Blood Dragon Greaves, Helm, Chestplate, and Boots.

Maybe chestplate gives DR and health, curse resist.

Greaves: DR, power and power drain resist

                Helm: DR, healing, stun resist

                Boots: DR slow resist

this next part may not be able to be implemented code wise, but it would be great if it could.

Each piece of armor grants additional 5% DR or curse resist or both. Some kind of bonus per armor piece so the whole collection gives the best bonus over all. I remember there was a bonus in Origins for wearing a full matching set of armor.

All mythic and worthy of a mythic rarity. This gear set could be exclusive for a while like SSM. THe idea is that is very OP and should be difficult to obtain a whole armor set.

                Limited: Warriors

Blood Dragon has cool lore, and I guess that's the basis for gear in HODA, but it's not nearly among the best sets in DAO It's middle range at best, and hugely overpriced, especially when you consider that Wade's Dragonbone Plate is like 30 or 40 sovereigns if you know what you're doing. And 40 gold ain't nothing, really.

In DA2, Blood Dragon got relegated to DLC starter armor lol.

If you wanna go for truly rare gear from Origins, then go for Wade's amor, or Legion of the Dead set. As for weapons, Falon'Din's bow, Wintersbreath (ice staff), Starfang.

DA2, we already have Arms of the Champion, but I wouldn't mind seeing the other two Champion variants. The Blade of Mercy, Torch of Falon'Din (best staff in the game, unless you're lame and don't like the PLR, then you can use Cold-Blooded).

Good cast-offs for my non-Warden support warrior, I guess...

Seriously tho, best warrior combo in DAO is two zweihanders, no contest. Sword'n'board is kinda... **** in that game. 2H gives you power, CC, and looking badass.

Is it pathetic that I haven't touched that game in two years, but I still remember all of that? Nah, I choose to believe it's continuing fondness for a great game.

                        I did mage mostly.
But my very first warden was a dual wielder.

I tried dual wielding in DAO once.

Doesn't get going until you grab momentum, and you have to manage your stamina closely. Best option is to order the light armor variant from Wade, which actually gives you a regen boost as opposed to simply reducing the penalty.

I hate mages in DAO because I cannot stand the pew-pew attack animation and the criminally poor choice of gear, particularly in the clothing department. Mage hats in DAO are some of the ugliest freaking things I've ever seen. I refused to let Morrigan wear a hat because it would clash so horribly with the Robes of Possession.

Most fun I've ever had in DAO was with a dwarf zweihander, because I could roll with 2H Starfang and Legion of the Dead armor. I actually just went and brought Oghren along too, gave him the Wade armor. Sure, Legion armor only gives a small bonus and what am I crazy, giving Wade's stuff to a companion? Honestly, it's about how it looks. The Legion model makes dwarves badass. Everyone else looks derpy in it. Plus the Warden was exporting so much asskicking that stamina was never an issue.

Arcane warrior a mage, lets their magic count as power and they can equip warrior armour, that's how i did. Had my mages wearing things like juggernaut plate as i mentioned above, among other things

I used my mages to actually cast spells, so no armor for Morrigan. If your mage was getting hit in DAO, you weren't Taunting enough. I just used two warriors to periodically kite aggro between them.

I agree that Wade's armor is great! Also the Juggernaut armor. I liked having all of them to swap in and out depending on what i was doing at the time. Sorry to hear Blood Dragon Armor was lackluster in DA2. I never played that one. I should have but it was some combination of hitting that point in life where I no longer had time to immerse in that kind of game play, and too many friends tell me the game was beautiful, but extremely dumbed down compared to Origins.

Basically i like the idea of complete armor sets that give additional buffs per piece of armor. The question is could that actually be implemented into the code base, or is it just a pipe dream?

                                Future Events/Promotions
Any posts or threads revealing future events or promotions that were not disclosed by the Capital Games team will be deleted.

                                Cross-posting
Posting the same question in more than one forum is not allowed. Should this occur, then only the thread in the most relevant forum will be left open; all others will be locked/closed and subsequently deleted.

                                Cheating
The use of any exploits or known bugs or editing of files in order to gain an unfair advantage while playing, will result in a permanent game and forum ban.

Accusing another player of cheating will result in your post/thread being deleted and a message sent to you, stating to refrain from further accusations. If continued accusations occur, a forum ban will result. If you believe a player to be cheating, send a PM to the Community Manager with as much detail as possible.

Please privately contact the Community Manager in order to submit an inquiry regarding this behavior.

                                Off-Topic Posting
Taking over a thread by posting excessively off-topic is not allowed. Off-Topic posts and any responses will be moved to their own, new thread if possible, or else deleted.

                                Political Posting
Because political beliefs, like religion, are a personal and sensitive topic, avoid posting about politics on the forums.

                                Customer Support Inquiries
All inquiries regarding Customer Support should be routed through the online web portal for support. The Community Manager and Moderators are unable to assist with inquiries regarding support tickets. Posting your ticket number and requesting assistance on the forums will result in the post being deleted. Sending a Private Message to the Community Manager or Moderators about CSR Inquiries is not to be tolerated, and will be ignored.

Additionally, all interactions with Customer Support are considered confidential, and all issues are handled on a case-by-case basis. As such, posts containing transcripts or results of your interactions with Customer Support will be edited or deleted.

Violation of these terms is grounds for removal from EA Capital Games games and a report to Facebook.

What should I do if I see objectionable material on the forums?
It is important that members recognize the real-time nature of this forum: the moderators cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages, and as such depend upon you to inform them when participants or their messages are violating our policy as stated here. You must also recognize that they cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any warranted action is taken.

To contact a moderator, please use the Flag Post function on the post represented by a flag:

What happens if I break the rules?
At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Sr Moderator a message asking for a reason.

Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.

                                Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

                                1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.
Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

                                2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

                                3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

                                4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                                5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

                                6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                                7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.

In addition to the Forum Rules, you are bound to the general EA Terms of Service both on these forums and in the game. Links to the TOS are as follows:
