  • Battle Drops Not Showing Properly on iOS

    I know there are some issues with the Siege of Haven node drops not showing properly on iOS, but since then I've noticed that it also happens with Gauntlet events as well as PVP battles. Is it a known issue? I cannot find it in any topic.

    This has been a long time nuisance for me. Sometimes a game restart triggers the drops to start showing for a while, sometimes not.
    Sometimes letting the animations play out prolongs the drops showing, sometimes not.
    THIS is why some of us have asked for "newest" gear search capability; to know what we have won when animations crap out...
    I think that this is becoming a more wide-spread issue since "Siege" opened.

      The PVE Events themselves have not changed anything about this. It's an issue that's been around for a while but not something we can reproduce on our test environments, which makes it very difficult to track down. The fact that players report that clearing the application cache or simply restarting the game often resolves the issue, at least for a while, generally means it's a cache conflict.

      We are hopeful that the upcoming client release will resolve this, as many performance enhancements for the newer iOS versions are included in it, but again, it's not something we can reproduce, which means it's not something we can test.

      The reason it's likely coming more to light now is the fact that the PVE Events have the post-battle reward drop and people are more actively and repeatedly playing them. It was noted to occur in the Gauntlets quite some time ago as they have the same functionality, whereas the other quest events have a "loot bag" that delays reward displays until the end.

      Wish I had better news for you, but that's pretty much all we've got on the matter.

        Thanks for the explanation! I thought of reinstalling the game but didn’t want to deal with all the pop up messages again. I’ll try that next.

          Let us know your results. I have done that in the past, and the problem recurred fairly soon after.
          I'd love to have a work around (like "let the scroll animation finish on the PvP event screen" to fix other scrolling issues) if anyone finds one.

            I reinstalled on two devices last night, and that seems to have fixed it. However, I haven't had much time to play, so not sure how long this would last.

              Make sure you let the full display animation go through to minimize chances of cache corruption. I know people like to quickly flip through to get to the next battle, and we're going to reorder the prize display so the actual reward shows first (instead of gold, then xp, THEN reward) so folks have a better chance of catching what they got before they move on, but I'm not sure that not allowing the entire display to finish isn't causing some kind of conflict on the client putting it in a bad state that it can't clean up from.

                Hmm I see. Yeah I probably do that a lot. I'm still not seeing any more problems after the reinstall, so I'll just slow down and see if it helps. Thanks Lyeshal!

                    Anyone having those issue?
                    After about three PVE matches, the loot display is blank. I have to close down and relaunch the game to get it back.

                      So far it seems to be an iOS issue that will hopefully be fixed with the next big content release, assuming the Qun revamp isn't the next big content release. :-D

                        You're mixing up "content" and "client" releases

                        "Content" releases are the regular, every-3-week releases we do that handle the day-to-day operations of the game.

                        "Client" releases happen once or twice a year and require you to update the game from the app stores, and handle bigger features, optimization, etc.

                          So, one of the devices where I reinstalled the game started having the problem again. I think it was after I grinded Siege of Haven a bit. I tried restarting about 10 times and it didn't work. I had to reinstall twice to get it to working again.

                          Side note: On the same device, I switched to another account and it was working.

                            Of note, i have had this problem occur the very first time I start on of the new 4 hour events.
                            - Fresh reload of the game on my Ipad (playing earlier on the day on my phone)
                            - Start event, beat the node
                            - No visible drops.

                            Before I was only having an issue when I clicked on replay map too quickly and didn't wait for animations to finish. However this shows it is not necessarily tied to that.

                              Hello there,

                              I am running version 12.0 on my iphone6

                              I do not have this problem on my android but on my iPhone, when special events come up and the reward screen appears, after the first fight, the screen would be empty displaying nothing. All I see are the coins animation going by. I would then need to go to my inventory to see what I received.

                              I am not sure anyone else experience this.

Users agree to EA Terms of Service as well. Misrepresenting oneself to engage in illegal activity will be immediately reported to EA for legal action.

                              Even though these are forums to allow free expression of ideas, there are other (real) people involved and one should respect their opinions and questions as ORIGINALLY POSTED IN THE TOPIC HEADINGS. Moderators are here to uphold and enforce these rules and the Terms of Service.                               Right to Privacy

                              Discussing or posting of another player's spending habits will be deleted.


                              Spamming
                              Obvious spam (repetitive nonsense posts) will result in the poster permanently banned and all posts deleted.


                              Porn
                              Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene is not permitted on these forums.

                              Topics/posts containing such will be deleted on sight. Forum poster will be permanently banned from the forums.


                              Warez
                              Providing or asking for information regarding the illegal downloading of "warez", "gamez" or any other software protected by copyright.


                              Future Events/Promotions
                              Any posts or threads revealing future events or promotions that were not disclosed by the Capital Games team will be deleted.


                              Cross-posting
                              Posting the same question in more than one forum is not allowed. Should this occur, then only the thread in the most relevant forum will be left open; all others will be locked/closed and subsequently deleted.


                              Cheating
                              The use of any exploits or known bugs or editing of files in order to gain an unfair advantage while playing, will result in a permanent game and forum ban.

                              Accusing another player of cheating will result in your post/thread being deleted and a message sent to you, stating to refrain from further accusations. If continued accusations occur, a forum ban will result. If you believe a player to be cheating, send a PM to the Community Manager with as much detail as possible.

                              Please privately contact the Community Manager in order to submit an inquiry regarding this behavior.


                              Off-Topic Posting
                              Taking over a thread by posting excessively off-topic is not allowed. Off-Topic posts and any responses will be moved to their own, new thread if possible, or else deleted.


                              Political Posting
                              Because political beliefs, like religion, are a personal and sensitive topic, avoid posting about politics on the forums.


                              Customer Support Inquiries
                              All inquiries regarding Customer Support should be routed through the online web portal for support. The Community Manager and Moderators are unable to assist with inquiries regarding support tickets. Posting your ticket number and requesting assistance on the forums will result in the post being deleted. Sending a Private Message to the Community Manager or Moderators about CSR Inquiries is not to be tolerated, and will be ignored.

                              Additionally, all interactions with Customer Support are considered confidential, and all issues are handled on a case-by-case basis. As such, posts containing transcripts or results of your interactions with Customer Support will be edited or deleted. Keep in mind that your friend's case may not be exactly like your case, so the results of your request may differ from the results of your friend. Customer Support will not discuss the details of any player's case with any other player, but will provide support to you under our established, confidential policies. Asking why your request was resolved differently than another player will result in your post being deleted.

                              Violation of these terms is grounds for removal from EA Capital Games games.


                              What should I do if I see objectionable material on the forums?
                              It is important that members recognize the real-time nature of this forum: the moderators cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages, and as such depend upon you to inform them when participants or their messages are violating our policy as stated here. You must also recognize that they cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any warranted action is taken.

                              To contact a moderator, please use the Flag Post function on the post represented by a flag:


                              What happens if I break the rules?
                              At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Lead Moderator a message asking for a reason.

                              Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

                              For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.
