  • Consuming heroes

When trying to consume heroes to reduce inventory the game pops up the message that the current event doesn’t allow duplicate heroes.
I tried it a couple of times just to make sure it wasn’t me and the problem repeated itself.

I think you're getting the same problem I had a few weeks ago. If your first squad has duplicates, try changing that so you can compete in the current PVP. I think this is what fixed it for me.

Because the event is a No Dupe event, your squad 1 must always be a no dupe squad. The squad gets checked whenever any hero action is performed, like changing squads, going to consume or fortify, etc, so the warning will pop up until you ensure your first squad has no dupes in it.

It’s not about putting together a squad it is during the function of CONSUMING heroes, as in tiering up one level to reach another..

I can understand that you want people to know they have a duplicate which doesn’t comply with the PvP, but if I’m consuming heroes I don’t need the game to continuously kick me out of the Heroes menu each time I hit the “consume” button to tell me this.

You should consider consuming / fortifying and squad composition as not mutually exclusive, they are independent activities. So after a player leaves the consume / fortification menu the that would be a good time to highlight the no duplicate rule, and if you were to follow the same principle when a player exceeds the inventory limit that the game automatically puts the player in the consume hero menu, you could put the player on the Heroes menu, 1st slot squad on screen and put a glowing light around the duplicate heroes rather than put the player back onto the main screen.

Because the Squad 1 is used as Defense within PVP, it is required that this squad conforms to the PVP event rules at all times, as other players may find you within the event and attack you at any time. Therefore, your squad must comply.

This is why it checks it and doesn't let you do anything else until you fix it. The warning message is pretty clear, and all it takes is for you to take a few seconds to go back to your squad, make it compliant, and then you can move on with life in the game.

I understand squad 1 needs to comply, but if I had no intention of taking part in the PvP, or was offline for the duration of the event then the system would be stuck with a squad with duplicate heroes. So how does the system handle that?

If you’re intention is to force players to alter their squad 1 then you should stay in the Heroes menu and put squad 1 on screen, just as the game puts players on the consume menu when they exceed the inventory limit during quests, not dump them out on the main menu simply because squad 1 might not be the active squad on display and where the slot number isn’t shown.

Most of the time the events allow duplicates so the consume issue is a very rare occurrence (1st time ever for me), but I feel there is a better way of handling the no-duplicate issue when events change which would be more helpful than one you have.

                Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

                1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.
Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

                2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

                3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

                4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

                6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.
