  • Connection issues persist since the Assassination change

Since the update that altered Assassination, I have experienced regular, persistent connection drops--as many as 30 per week. Anybody else?

I've had some issues, but much less than you (and I play long time). Fixing them would be nice, but I'd better ask for the drain bug first

Unfortunately, connection issues can come from a variety of sources, most of which are outside of our control. Due to the nature of the internet, a gateway failure at any point between your device and our servers can cause you to be disconnected, and there's nothing we can do about that - we don't own the internet

Our servers have not reported any widespread issues in the past several days. It may be worth trying to reboot your home network, and give your device a good shutdown, rest, and reboot (shut it down for about 30 seconds and then reboot it). Because HoDA is fairly stringent on its connection requirements, a small amount of instability is all it takes for the game to need to restart/reconnect, especially in PVP.

Every time i click enter on a node for the gauntlet (regardless of whether i wait for the animation to finish playing or not) the game has a 50/50 chance to crash and either requires me to wait 2 mins for one node to load or reload the entire game for every other node that crashes. I regularily cannot complete the meta gauntlet in the 45 minutes, even though i am literally sitting at my phone staring at it the entire time waiting for fights to end and to get to the next node because of this. It's borderline unplayable, please fix!

I don't know if someone has experienced that kind of problem too.
I am having connection issues the last month, but they they have been getting worse this week, above all today.
I was trying to compete at top 50 to get Garahel and it was impossible, I had to restart the game several times and I saw message errors on my screen that kicked me out of the game, doing impossible to play all the day.
I feel very disappointed because I spent over 100 gems for competing for Garahel and I had to quit due to the continual errors and connection problems, losing my gems and the toon, it is the first time that I can't get a toon at top 50 and it's not my fault, so it's very frustrating because I got so many dupes competing on the leaderboard and this one was quite cheap.
I sent a ticket to the customer support too, I hope they could refund my gems and solve the problems as soon as possible.

I personally never had any connection problems but I saw many guildmates (including you) complaining about it and it seems really unfortunate. Along with the power drain bug I've had people in our guild threaten or actually quit because they just don't want to deal with it or it is very annoying and unfun.

            Please look into this cg!

I am glad you aren't having connection issues, I decided to post it because some guild mates are having problems too as you said.
And the connection issues plus the power drain bug makes the game very difficult to play, and it is very annoying.
I am also having the power drain bug.

I am also having connection problems and I am not competing lately because of that, it is very annoying to play in that way and some of my guildmates are having issues too and want to quit.
Please, try to solve it, I don't want my guild loses players.

+ same story at UA guilds, not all ofc, but sometimes even during PG, last week my guildmate was kicked 2 min b4 end and lost his top25. It's a bit disappointed after we just start buying vaults to keep lights on.

I experience the same and many mates across the OT guild family have connection issues every now and then.

The new (?) server communication breakdown message shows up quite regularly. Well, at least one is not thrown out of the game completely - merely to the home screen...

I am very sorry to hear other guilds are having connection issues too, I hope CG will fix it soon, it is unfair some players can't compete well.
I also had connection issues last PG, above all the last minutes, and this is really annoying.

We're having our engineer take a deeper dive in to see if we can find anything that could be causing what you're experiencing. Our servers have not reported any downtime issues, but this is becoming a more widely-reported issue than I'm comfortable with seeing.

So, does this mean I can stop rebooting my router 8 times per day ?

We did learn that AWS has been having some issues since mid last-week that may have been at least partially responsible for connection troubles - which explains why our local servers weren't reporting any issues. We're still looking into it, though, as this doesn't explain all of the reports we've had, particularly those involving Proving Grounds specifically.

We also had a player who discovered some odd DNS settings on their router, causing a conflict between IPv4 and IPv6 settings that was preventing access via WiFi, so it may be worth checking your local router settings to make sure everything is synced up there. You'll have to look up your particular router's manuals to figure that out, though, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply Lyeshal and for informing us, I hope the connection issues will be fixed soon.

What should I do if I see objectionable material on the forums?

What happens if I break the rules?
At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Sr Moderator a message asking for a reason.

Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.

                              Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

                              1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.
Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

                              2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

                              3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

                              4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                              5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

                              6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                              7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.
