  • Attack animation against THO?

    Strange animation when the highest one gets attacked? Enemy attacks but no damage animation? Happens both in origins nexus and in PVP...

    The same is happening to me in origins gauntlet as well and not even using THO.
    Stunned things double attacking
    Invisible things attacking
    Attacking invisible things
    Some times take no damage. Some times take crazy damage.
    Just had a lone baroness wipe out a row and my LC with a double attack while she was stunned.

      So there's a possibility this is something related to us now being in a state where we've pushed our new server but the client release hasn't quite happened yet. There's some new stuff in the server that isn't quite supported by the client yet, so you might see some wonky stuff in the meantime.

      We'll keep an eye on it once we get the client release out, and if it's still happening then, we'll take a deeper look.

        That explains xq when my squadron defeated a hero of the enemy iseiya fired so much that I killed 3 of my heroes with 1 attack even though my dragon has 600k of life

          When I use Dalish Banner in Gauntlet after the round opposing team attacks then they do another super quick attack but it’s just animation no damage received.

            Have a look here for the explanation, it's all related to some server code that was pushed but not yet supported on the client side. Should be harmless though, just animation tricks. I've seen similar animations as well.

              I was all set to post this as a problem as well, recorded a video to post, and then noticed it's actually a double attack/animation. The first attack works correctly, then there is a repeat attack animation that happens very fast with no damage.

              Right around 50 seconds, apsol attacks then does it again very fast for no damage.

                Here is another one, and this one really looks like there is a problem...except I think there isn't.

                Watch starting around 40 seconds, let round 1 finish, which looks correct. At the start of round 2, I have one hero, THO who has normal initiative, and the enemy team has 4 quick heroes. Here is the animation bug: Garahel? goes first, quick animation no attack, then the fereldan goes next (name escapes me), same deal, then red jenny sera goes with a normal attack. Briala goes next with attack. Then, the two quick heroes who had the attack with no damage go next, with a normal attack and damage. So all 4 heroes with quick initiative end up attacking before the normal initiative starts, which is correct, just a weird way of getting there.

                So yeah, I think Lyeshal is right, it's just a wonky animation. There isn't a doubt in my mind that people are going to complain during Proving grounds, because it happened once to me. But again according to this video everything is normal, speaking from a damage perspective.

                  So we're sitting in mid-update and just going to leave things unstable? Is the client due any day now? Like, today or tomorrow?

                  I'm not trying to be difficult here but we've got a PG tonight - and with things kind of going crazy how exactly are we supposed to have any idea how particular battles are going to turn out when things are all wonky?

                    I'm not entirely convinced it is only animation. If we are getting new animations, and our updated server is telling the non-updated client to run them, but the client doesn't know what those animations are, then yes - that explains some of the behavior.

                    But we've also got some kind of bug report for passive drain with the new banner. Similar animation problem? Maybe.

                    Earlier today I had a Xenon go ahead of my LVR. No slow effect or rune difference in play. And Xenon went. Cursed, healed allies, full normal turn - not just an animation.

                    We already knew something is bugged about TEOs revamp - but my guildmates and I are seeing more strange interaction with him as well. Seems to be cursed when he shouldn't be. The original drain issue that GHOST DOG and I tested/reported here on the forums.

                    All in all we have a major update that was *half released*, things appearing unstable all over the place. I just dropped $200 in the last week on gems/vaults. I hope I have a right to at least want the game to remain stable - which right now it seems anything but.

                      This seems completely benign from what I've seen. I've noticed it in the last few days but it doesn't seem to be stopping anyone from actually attacking. Enemies will just randomly jump forward and then back, without dealing damage or forgoing their turn. Even stunned foes will do this occasionally.

                      So, probably just a visual glitch? Hopefully cleared up soon.

                        2 PG battles in a row just froze on me. LCs on both sides. Battles happened but game froze. This bug is not gone..

                          No, it isn't.
                          We also made several tests. This is not just animation. Sometimes YES, but mostly NOT. Toons don't attack.

                          For ex: my FenHarel makes that trick without damaging and then my SoM attacks normally.

                            I'm also noticing Dalish Banner is not cursing the opponent Baronesses on final node of Origins.

                            Should be a separate bug report probably - but since this latest update and two new releases things are definitely not right. And definitely not all just visual.

                              I am having the same issue, it isn't just animation, it is complete missing of attacks. No damage is being done, lost a round because my whole team didn't do any damage.
