First, King Maric and Loghain. I really love them.
Maric is a good soul, good person, Loghain just... Loghain. Sarcastic, hard and deep.
    second is Alistair and Varric.
The main character: Sarcastic mage male Hawke.

My favorite? Well, it's hard, as I have a tie between Duke Prosper and Yavana, but I like both characters for similar reasons:

-As characters they're both pretty clever and knowledgeable; you don't see every day, you don't see every day a noble who is fluent on Qunlat, and even less a woman who speaks with Dragons. They're also calmed, Prosper didn't go angry until the end and Yavana only while threatening Claudio.

-On design both have a "draconic" fashion: Prosper's helmet has something like a wyvern wing on it and his coat seems made of scales, while Yavanas's outfit resembles a Dragon as whole (her helmet looks like a head, her hair and forearms have spines like theirs, etc.)

-Finally on how they have been portaryed on HoDA, I'm quite happy with Prosper, but with Yavana I have two issues, first on the design, I'd have liked her to wear her cape, and the main problem: just as any epic from the game's launch she can no longer stand up for a fight, we've gone through monsters like Uldred, Witherfang and Fen'Harel, and the only new thing she ever got was a power aura that doesn't do much for her. Fortunately I feel optimist that we'll soon see a legendary version of her, given that Cailan, Branka and now Xebeneck had a legendary version/upgrade.

My favorite character has to be... my Inquisitor (male human mage). I loved him so much and it was so hard to part with him at the end of Trespasser.... *sigh* (back to post-partum depression mode).

Apart from him, I loved Alistair in DAO, never cared for the ladies (Wynne was tolerable, the other two... meh !) (I'm not going to be popular on this one ), tried to like Zevran but couldn't.
In DA II, I liked Fenris and Aveline, mainly.
In DA:I, Dorian and Cullen, and also Cassandra. And Solas. Oh ! I forgot Cole ! I liked most of them, really (but Vivienne).

But, from all of these, I think Alistair could get some more love from the HoDA team. He is a very important character in DAO and even though the scope of the possible outcomes at the end does not allow him to get a better role in the sequels (Morrigan type), his best incarnation should not be "King Alistair", who has basically nothing to do with the game and the reason why he made such an impression on the players (whether they loved or loathed him... I know, as for Morrigan, it goes both ways...).
In Game : Carver le Retour and... Carver le Retour as well (don't ask).

after all the da games my favorite is still oghren, he is one of the best fighting players in dao with his backstory and has the best mindset.
fight with all you've got and celebrate later. olso he is one of the best worriors to become a warden if you ask me in the da universe.
          in hoda he is pretty good but i like the look of the epic oghren and the red lerium oghren way better then the warden oghren look and that is a shame becoze the wardens should look a bit rugget every now and then ;}

            soooo many but... top faves:

Red Lyrium crazed Meredith - during the final fight in DA2. She was very strong (story wise, anyway). I love her character, from her story to her design. especially when she had her moment of doubt in her madness--made me empathize with her character.

Vengeance - the idea of the spirit of Justice being corrupted into Vengeance due to Ander's hate is creative. He's also powerful and nigh unkillable when in that form and the design (blue aura cracking thru his skin) is cool.

Merril - her innocence was endearing, contrasted by her practice of blood magic. One of my favourite blood mage.

Cole - expanding on the mystery of being a spirit and a demon. "asunder" made me sad for the real cole's story. also, neat skills. My favourite assassin. sorry, Zev.

Celene - loved "the masked empire". My favourite player of the Game.

Sarcastic Arcane Garret Hawke - perfect.

            Garahel - badass. nuff said.

lastly, Leliana - her brilliant character development from being an apprentice, a Bard, a lay sister, a hero of the Fifth blight, the Left hand of the Divine, the inquisition's advisor and Spymaster, to the Divine (my choice), is just marvelous.

*special mention to Morrigan, Alistair, Flemmeth, Cassandra, Dorian, and Fiona.

Most of them are very polarizing characters. and the more polarizing the character, the more interesting it is for me. (^_^)v
            Griffon's Flight

The greater shade boss, and the three lieutenants in the treacherous path encounter. Only around a 1-2% chance to ever encounter it in Origins travelling from Denerim to the docks. Without mana clash or stone fist it's the hardest fight in any Dragon Age game.

                1. Solas. He's actually my overall favourite video game character
                2. Tbh, when I was waiting for DAI to come out and when the first Solas wallpaper/sneak peeks came out I was rather disappointed. I'm one of those ppl who takes Middle-Earth elves as 'canon' elves, so a bald elf was a big no-no to me. But when I started the game and met him, I immediately fell in love with his character. I obviously also did his romance which broke me to pieces and not to mention the surprise at his 'reveal' at the end of the game. I also kept imagining Solas while I was watching Torchwood (took me 9 episodes to realise Solas' voice actor was in it XD) which made one hell of an experience
                3. He has three versions in HoDA. But I have yet to get one version. But Fen'harel version is kickass

I love my Grey Warden, I think DA Origins is the best game of all 3, their plot and characters is awesome.
I also like Morrigan, Sera and Dorian, they are odd characters with a strong personality and their party banters were very funny, I enjoyed a lot playing with them. Besides they are really good and useful heroes in the game and their story and game design is great.
I love Cassandra, Fenris, Aveline, Zevran and Leliana too, they are also 5 of my fav characters. I liked their personality and backgroud. You should put them in your team if you want to pass a good time.
I am sorry for qunari fans, but I hated qunaris like Sten and Iron Bull lol, I am sorry but I am on Tevinter's side

Loghain because he is a multi-dimensional character. I despised him my first play through, felt guilty executing him my second playthrough and by the time I reached my 4th or 5th playthrough, he became a permanent member of my warden’s party. Love him or hate him, he’s so darn provocative.

Loghain is a boss in DAO and he is the Hero of River Dane. He eats Orlesians for breakfast and I would like to see him as a meta badass in HoDA.

And, yeah, the voice acting by Simon Templeton brings Loghain to life.

What happens if I break the rules?
At best, your post will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a warning. If the offense is more serious your post will be deleted. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Lead Moderator a message asking for a reason.

Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.

                    Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

                    1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion. Keep in mind that in most cases, posts are not intended to offend. If you find yourself taking offense at a post, take a step back and contact the person directly, or appeal to a moderator for arbitration. Don't make the situation worse by posting in anger and lashing out at the original poster. Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

                    2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section under the appropriate heading.

                    3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available. Additionally, before posting a bug, check the Known Issues thread to quickly see if the staff is already aware, and to find the discussion thread about that issue.

                    4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                    5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum and/or game.

                    6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                    7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.

In addition to the Forum Rules, you are bound to the general EA Terms of Service both on these forums and in the game. Links to the TOS are as follows:

                    EA TOS English
                    EA TOS French
                    EA TOS German
                    EA TOS Russian
                    EA TOS Spanish

By registering and posting on these forums, you agree to be bound to the rules and disciplinary actions set forth above.
