  • Friday "item" quest info?

I can't seem to find Friday's item quest in any of the event spreadsheets, so perhaps folks here can provide info.

    1) Where is the inventory list for this quest? I.E., all the possible things that can drop.
    2) Are there any known item drop rates for this quest?

    Thanks!

All of the gear in the game is eligible to drop from the quest, except for what has been most recently released - it takes 2-3 weeks for new release gear to cycle into the events.

We have not published any drop rates for any quest event - any drop rates you find are purely observational and are not confirmed or official.

Thanks for the info Lyeshal! It's appreciated. After reading this response yesterday, I had visions of cool equipment and got excited. I went all in and must have spent about 33-55 gems doing this quest! With 188 energy to burn each time, I figured I'd be swimming in items soon enough.

      Boy was I wrong! lol

I played nothing but "Hard" (and "Medium" and "Easy" when I didn't have enough energy for hard) and got nothing but low-tier runes (commons-rares) and maybe a half-dozen items (also commons-rares). Maybe. This is the only quest where I've never even considered using a potion when I died (I was leveling up a "B-Team"). Cash wasn't worth it and the uncommon runes weren't worth it. If this quest were a YouTube video, I'd dislike and unsubscribe. lol

Drop rates and rarity are better with the increasing difficulty of an event. For the best rates and rarities, Ludicrous is always top choice. If you're not able to get there yet, keep playing and building up your teams, and you'll get there.

You can get the higher rarity stuff from lesser difficulty events, but the drop rates are significantly lower. This is true for every quest event we have.

By not reviving, you are literally throwing away your energy/gems/etc, and forfeiting the chances at the stuff you want. If you find your "B-Team" isn't cutting it to run the best difficulty you can manage, then make sure you've got your "A-Team" on standby in a different squad slot so that when you hit the harder nodes, you can swap to it to take care of those nodes and keep going.

If this quest were a YouTube video that you disliked and unsubscribed, it'd be akin to you disliking and unsubscribing because you sneezed halfway through and missed something important that would have kept you interested, but you chose not to rewind the video to see what you missed.

          LOL Touche!

OK, let me put it another way. I get more--and better--items playing any other *non-daily event/quest. Take the Winter in July quest that just happened (and the current Anvil/dwarf quest line) for example. If you play "Hard" on those quests, you will get better gear more frequently. In fact, as I've been typing I have my iPad next to the laptop and am going through the Anvil quest line. I just got a mythic Ancestor's Greaves (on "Hard"). I guess if I had an overarching point (beyond simply whining), it's that any quest labeled "Friday Event: Items" should definitely have more and/or better item drops than any other quest (assuming energy costs are roughly equal). Would you agree with that? As it stands, the Friday event should be called "Runes" because that is really what you're getting for your energy.

*I might get more items on other daily events as well, I just haven't been playing those as much.

Well, sure. The Weekly events have a higher drop rate per node than the Daily events, when comparing difficulty vs difficulty. But that's why the Daily events cost less energy. However, the Weekly events are also limited in what gear drops, where the Daily events will drop any gear in the game.

So to your point of "Friday Event: Items should definitely have more and/or better item drops" - it does.

Weekly (and other Daily) events will cap out at 2 gear per run on Ludicrous mode, 1 gear on Hard mode. Friday has the chance to drop up to 3 gear on Hard and 5 gear on Ludicrous, with the ability to drop any gear in the game - including the next-most recently released gear (it takes 2-3 weeks for a new gear to get into the "all gear" quest events).

So while you're stuck with only dropping Ancestor's Greaves on Anvil of the Void, and only 1 per run during a Hard run, you *could* theoretically score 3 The Skin That Stalks on Friday, on Hard.

Additionally, "Runes" are "Items". If you go to the "Items" store in the Store, you'll find that's where you can buy gear and runes.

By the way, the gear is all back-loaded in the events. Meaning it's the final nodes that will be dropping gear, rather than the early ones. That's why I say if you abandon a quest early, you are literally throwing away the chance to get the gear.

Raids (such as the Wintersend Raid) are another matter entirely and are difficult to compare to the daily/weekly events. They're also very limited run each time they come up. Absolutely those ones will be getting you better stuff more regularly. Can't compare them to daily/weekly events.

Oh yeah, one more thing - those diamond-shaped question mark icons that you see when it's asking you about Revive to tell you what you have - it's the same icon for both runes and gear. So don't go dumping it just because you think they're all runes. They could totally be gear, if you've progressed far enough already. For Hard, gear starts on node 3. For Ludicrous, every node has that gear chance.

Holy cow, thank you for the great info! I never knew. To pay it forward a tiny bit, I'm gonna drop a few keywords for future googlers (because when I searched for this topic, I came up completely dry). Thanks again! #LyeshalBestEverConfirmed

Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse, so please don't. If a moderator has not sent you a message stating why, please send the Sr Moderator a message asking for a reason.

Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued an infraction - your posting privileges will be disabled for three days, but you will still be able to view the forums as a guest.

              Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

              1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion.
Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

              2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section.

              3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available.

              4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

              5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum.

              6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

              7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.
