Why these revamps always nerf a lot of heroes instead of make them stronger? Lots of then didn't even got new auras or whatever... just had the power cut in half like kitty and deepstalker matriarch

A number of heroes were bumped up to 2*, but had their power reduced (Kitty’s by 50%!). You can put a hundred stars on a hero but that won’t cover for the fact that their power has been crippled. And to add insult to injury, when they face off against heroes like Emerald Nug, they will have their stats reduced even more, thanks to the bump to the 2* rating.
I’m sorry to complain. I’m sure there are some good changes in this update, but my mind tends to focus on the bad first.

Possible. We did remove some old and unused assets as well, so there may be some versions of iOS that decided the best thing to do was remove all the assets and download the whole package fresh.

          Most folks' minds do

Think of it this way: If we hadn't bumped those heroes to 2* who still ended up getting a reduction in power, their power reduction would have been even more. 2* gets about a 25% bonus in stats over 1*, so leaving a massively overpowered hero as 1* who could be justified to be a 2* would simply mean a larger reduction. We are trying to do everything we can, that makes sense to do within the development cycle time frame, to minimize the power reductions that are seen - particularly for long time "favorites".

Kitty, in particular, has been massively overpowered since her release. She's a huge reason why most other demons aren't even considered to be viable. By bringing everything into the guidelines, we're hoping that more heroes in general end up becoming useful, so players aren't pidgeon-holed into a select few, simply because their stats are so ridiculously out of line with the majority of heroes that there's no contest in who to choose to use.

Based on the guidelines, in order to have retained Kitty at her original power, we would have had to introduce a 4-star rating And this isn't me picking on Kitty - we're doing the stat adjustments emotionlessly and not even really looking at the names of the heroes when determining who will be changed. Once we have determined that, we're looking at who's getting the biggest downgrade in power, take a quick peek at who it is, and if there's anything we can do to mitigate that (e.g. raise them to 2* so they have a higher pool available), we will.

Keep in mind these stat updates are just the first wave. We do plan to go through and provide revamps to heroes who are underperforming now, but those take a significantly longer time to develop. We've been able to keep up with doing 2-4 revamps at a time so far, even with the stat fixes, so hopefully that's a cadence we'll be able to keep up with as we move forward. There's a lot of heroes though and bringing them all up to snuff is going to take a long time.

That is all well and good but to be honest, if all heroes fall into the same guidelines i.e same same but different, then what would be the point of having/ paying for different heroes. As a long time players, I think the high lights of this game is having really powerful heroes/ combination for a short/ medium period of time before they got overshadowed by others. Most competitive gacha games works like that. Nowadays, all the new heroes are just so......weak (especially in pg). I've been using the same defend setup for PG in the last 3 months and can get top 25 easily

That's precisely what the next phase will be all about. Revamps to auras and abilities, introducing different combinations of mechanics, bringing currently benched heroes off the bench. Once everyone stops just looking at power and health and starts paying attention more to what the auras and abilities of the heroes are, more options will become apparent, with different counters coming into play, meta being able to shift from time to time as more revamps come out, etc.

I get that it's been a little stale while we're doing the stat adjustments - but at the same time we've already seen several heroes come off the bench for usefulness just because of getting improved stats, or because we've done a revamp on them. There's already a greater variety of viable teams, each with counters available, just from what we've already accomplished.

                And we're not done yet

it is assumed that the updates should give options to change the target computers but this does not happen since the duplicate team of dwarves is now superior to all the other teams

no doubt the updates work well in theory that duplicates will not be used because they would not break the balance, but if they only take the most advantageous hero and duplicate it, what are they used to balance units that are not used?

Kitty before the update was not useful against the dwarf goal team, so what does it have balanced if you do not use demons anyway

before giving a speech that is balancing the heroes q think about the use q is given, heroes are not used q should be increased statistics to be used again q q even in events of increased health and strength these heroes they can not do anything against the target team, so even with an increase they will still be ineffective against them and rather when they are nerfed, it makes them even more useless than what they already have.

You've completely missed the point of everything we've already shared regarding the stat updates and the future plans. Please go back and re-read it all, back from .. what, February?... when we first started them. I've been repeating the same things over and over again trying to explain what we're doing. Before trying to give some smug response, please go back and actually understand what we're trying to accomplish.

I think I did not understand what I said or maybe use a translator do not let me understand what I say

certainly alter the values of the pjs was already established from before as indicated by what would not be the problem, the problem is that if these "update" values is not useful in the use of heroes then what does it serve?

I never disagreed that the values of the heroes changed in what I disagreed with in the time it took, however, as long as this "change" brought the possibility of the use of the less used heroes, there would certainly be no problems in accepting it.

However, reduce the value of a hero that is not used and even the whole squadron is not useful. What does it really mean? It is a guideline to reduce it that I do not discuss, but is it useful in the short term or will we have to wait a year for it to be more effective?

it is not disputed that the values are changed, it is argued that this will be useful to the heroes in the current team format dominated

I'm sorry for the bad translation

Between new and revamped toons and gear, I'm finding more and more ways to defeat any particular team. I've got 2 fairly reliable Dace counters, and am working on two more decent possibilities. I don't think there is an unbeatable team at the moment, and I *like* that.

With regards to the 'why are you nerfing not-frontline toons', I understand that to be Phase 1 of trying to level the playing field. Having a roughly level field to start with really allows abilities to be adjusted and to shine properly. That means flattening off the characters that currently stand out in a stats sense even if they don't in-game because their mechanics are weak. This then allows the mechanics to be looked at separately, as Phase 2. Trying to do all of Phases 1&2 at the same time would be *incredibly* messy, and you'd end up needing several passes before you got that figured out - we'd be playing DA5 dlc by the time that's finished.

Again, as we've said a dozen times or more now, this is just phase 1. Once everything is within the guidelines for stats, we can have a better understanding of what heroes really need to have alterations made to auras/abilities to make them useful again, vs just altering stats. There's already been a few heroes where just changing the stats (resulting in a general increase to both power and health) has brought them back to the playing field, because their auras and abilities were good, they just couldn't compete because their stats were too low. Conversely, there's some heroes, like Kitty, whose auras and abilities are already very good, but the fact that the power was so incredibly high and out of line with every other hero, that the reason other heroes weren't being used is because those heroes were so powerful on their own that there was no need to use anything else. Reducing the power and/or health of those to bring them into the guideline means that maybe some other hero can have a chance to be used, through synergies, or because there's now no fear that there's no point battling the overpowered hero.

I was wondering if you could let us know when Phase 1 actually started? Obvioulsy the first large set of revamps was the Power Drainers on Feb 20th, so I would assume any new characters released after this date would fall under the current guidelines. However what about new characters and revamps that were released prior to this date? Revamps such as advisors, daces, shales, red lyrium? New characters such as wild hart, shrike, tempest sera duke rymache, etc?

I guess it would be good to know when current guidelines actually went into effect.

                                Thanks.

For persistent and deliberate rule-breakers your account will be "Banned". That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and/or games and your account will no longer function in them. If you re-register, your new account will be banned as well.

                                Posting Suggestions
In the attempt to create a compromise where everyone is happy, the following suggestions are also recommended:

                                1. Be civil and courteous. This forum is visited by people from all over the world, of different ages, genders, religions, and backgrounds, and are each entitled to their own opinion. Keep in mind that in most cases, posts are not intended to offend. If you find yourself taking offense at a post, take a step back and contact the person directly, or appeal to a moderator for arbitration. Don't make the situation worse by posting in anger and lashing out at the original poster. Also, see Flaming, Right to Privacy, and Hatred.

                                2. Make sure that your message topics fit the topic description of the forum in which you are posting. This is for your own benefit - for example, a question regarding a bug or problem should be posted in the Feedback section under the appropriate heading.

                                3. Use the search function before posting, particularly if the question is problem oriented. Most technical questions have been answered before, and solutions are freely available. Additionally, before posting a bug, check the Known Issues thread to quickly see if the staff is already aware, and to find the discussion thread about that issue.

                                4. Make sure that you have followed #3 before posting

                                5. Read the sticky threads at the top of each forum - they are there for a reason, and generally contain information relevant to the forum and/or game.

                                6. Don't quote the entire message that you're responding to, only the pertinent passage. This makes it easier to read for other users.

                                7. If you find it easier to express yourself en français, auf Deutsch, en español, in Nederlands, in Italiano, or any other language, post in the International Discussion forum. Hopefully someone who speaks the same language as you will be able to assist you. All posts in other sections (non-International) of the forums must be in English, so please make use of Google Translate if you need assistance with translation. Posting in English will allow the widest range of people to assist you.
